Privacy Policy
Chronicles of Apocalyptica ("the App") is an interactive narrative world operated by Dynamic Hallucination, Inc. This policy describes what information we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account information. The App signs you in through Discord or Google OAuth. When you authorize sign-in, we receive your basic profile from the provider you choose: username or name, account ID, avatar, and (for Google) email address. We never receive your password for either service.
- Gameplay content. Messages, character choices, and story interactions you create inside the App are stored on our servers so your story persists between sessions.
- Technical information. Standard server logs (IP address, request time, device type) are kept for security and troubleshooting.
Poetic's Quill: Immortal Monster (the Android and desktop app)
The same rules apply to the app, with these specifics:
- Player accounts. Optional. If you create one we keep your email address, the name you choose and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), plus sign-in sessions. Delete it from Settings > Account, or see how to delete your account.
- No account is required. The app gives your install an anonymous id so your saves, tickets and settings stay together. Linking Discord is optional and only adds your Discord id and username so support can reply to you.
- Bug reports. When you send one, we receive the text you typed, a screenshot of the moment you opened the report (you can turn it off), your device model, operating system, app version and the app's last log lines. Used for support only.
- Game updates by email. Optional. If you type an email address and press "Email me updates", we keep it to tell you about new chapters and releases. Withdraw it from the same screen at any time and it is marked unsubscribed.
- Story and character data (choices, journal, character sheet) is stored on your device, and on our server when a feature needs it.
- No advertising, no third-party analytics. The app talks only to our own servers, and to Discord if you choose to link it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information. To anyone. Ever.
- We do not show third-party advertising.
- We do not share your information with third parties, except the Discord sign-in described above and the video embeds described below.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children. The App is intended for users 17 and older.
Third-party services
- Discord and Google handle sign-in under their own privacy policies (discord.com/privacy, policies.google.com/privacy).
- Some pages embed YouTube videos, which are served by YouTube under Google's privacy policy.
- Payments, if offered, are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
AI features
Some characters in the App are driven by AI models running on our own servers. Your in-game messages to those characters are processed on our infrastructure to generate responses and are stored as part of your gameplay content. They are not sent to third-party AI providers.
Data retention and deletion
Your account and gameplay content persist while your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email dynamichallucination@gmail.com from the account you wish to delete, or contact us through the official Discord server. We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.
Security
Data is stored on servers we own and administer, protected by access controls and encryption in transit (HTTPS).
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the updated version at this address and update the effective date.
