The Meeting

Winter. Nodran (13) trapped in bear trap set by his brother Duval. Landon (12), a peasant pig farmer, frees and heals him with ancient draconic magic. An Azazel sent to assassinate Nodran attacks. Landon destroys it with the Kiss of Death. King Galendor sees the explosion and fears his son is dead. Erikson arrives wearing a mysterious pendant matching an ancient order. The bond between prince and peasant begins.

📚 Timeline Note 📚

This chapter takes place twelve years before the Battle Opening (Chapters 1-4 Present Day timeline). Nodran is only 13, not yet the dragon hybrid warrior forced to summon the Hellfire. This is the origin of his bond with Landon - the peasant boy who saved his life.
