The Derided Unknown is an organization led by Known—creator of humanity, wielder of chaotic good, and the being who gifted mortals the ability to laugh in the face of despair. Known is the original creator of humans, gifting them the ability to adapt, create, and—most importantly—laugh. He operates through chaos with good intentions, believing that rigid order leads to stagnation while his brand of unpredictable kindness keeps the horrors at bay.

This ninth faith creates multiple paths for others, manifests decision echoes that change events, and protects against mind control through shields of willpower. They are unpredictable, philosophical, and sometimes chaotic—but always with the intent to inspire others to take control of their lives.

They are the foot soldiers of hope, the champions of resilience, the embodiment of what it means to choose light in the face of overwhelming darkness—not because darkness is weak, but because joy, love, and laughter are weapons horrors cannot comprehend.
When people are told there is a Notolisc coming, some pray. The Derided Unknown? They laugh, draw their weapons, and remind the horrors why chaos fueled by hope is the most terrifying force in existence.

While the Eight Faiths lead The Derided Unknown with wisdom and strategy, the Notolisc are the organization's front-line fighters—chaos incarnate in adorable, terrifying, unpredictable form.
They are seemingly invincible warriors who can go from wanting pats on the head to trying to eat someone. They like plushies. They get hyper when they sunbathe too long. And if you kiss one, the hormone for rage activates instead of lust, which will absolutely get you killed.
