Who Are the Travelers?
Not everyone who crosses dimensional boundaries deserves the title "Traveler." Tourists stumble through portals by accident. Refugees flee through rifts seeking safety. Invaders force their way into foreign dimensions seeking conquest.
But Travelers—true Travelers—choose the journey. They embrace the unknown. They navigate the spaces between realities with purpose, skill, and an understanding that every step might be their last.
"Their stories echo across the Waters. Not because they are louder than others, but because they persist long after ordinary voices fade."
Why Travel?
The Reasons Are as Varied as the Travelers Themselves
The Seekers
They search for knowledge lost in their home dimension. Ancient artifacts. Forbidden spells. Answers to questions that gods refuse to acknowledge.
The Exiles
Banished from their worlds for crimes real or imagined. Some seek redemption. Others seek revenge. All carry their past like an unhealing wound.
The Merchants
They trade goods that exist in one reality but not another. A flower that only blooms in dying dimensions. Water from the primordial Waters. The final breath of extinct gods.
The Hunters
They track prey that flees between dimensions. Criminals. Monsters. Rogue immortals. Things that should not exist but do anyway.
The Lost
They no longer remember which dimension was home. They wander not by choice but because they cannot stop. The journey has consumed their identity.
The Pilgrims
They seek something transcendent. Enlightenment. Divine audience. The edge of existence itself. Most never find what they seek. A few find more than they can bear.
The Price of Travel
Crossing dimensional boundaries is not without consequence. Each transition leaves a mark—sometimes visible, sometimes not. Travelers accumulate these marks like scars, and eventually, the scars define them more than their original form.
What Travel Takes From You
Your certainty: When you've seen a thousand different versions of "truth," belief becomes impossible.
Your attachments: Love someone in one dimension, and you'll meet their cruel counterpart in another. Eventually, faces stop meaning what they once did.
Your body: Some dimensions have different physical laws. Your form adapts or breaks. Most Travelers carry modifications they never asked for.
Your sanity: The mind was not designed to hold memories from incompatible realities. Contradictions accumulate. Eventually, something snaps.
And yet they travel anyway. Because the alternative—staying in one dimension, living one life, believing one truth—feels like death to those who have glimpsed the infinite.
Famous Travelers
⚔️ Xanther Wavelander
His choices during the War of the Gods contributed to the Shattering of Nexus. Some call him hero. Others call him destroyer. He calls himself neither—he is simply a man who made a choice and lives with its consequences.

Little Red
A survivor of trials that would break gods. Her journey through the darkest moments of the War of the Gods revealed truths about power, sacrifice, and survival. She earned her title not through strength but through refusing to die when everything demanded it.
Raziel
An enigma even among Travelers. Some timelines know him as monster. Others as savior. A few remember him as both simultaneously. His true nature remains one of the Chronicles' deepest mysteries.
Will You Travel?
The dimensional bridges still exist, though many shattered during the War. Nexus may be broken, but paths between worlds persist for those brave—or foolish—enough to walk them.
Every Traveler begins with a single step. Every journey starts with a choice. The question is not whether you are capable of traveling between dimensions.
The question is: Are you willing to pay the price?
